rrx-shield-white-background-smallAccording to a report on the British weekly Motor Cycle News, Jake Zemke will replace John Hopkins on the Stiggy Racing team at the Monza round of the World Superbike series (see the story here: http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/sport/sportresults/mcn/2009/May/1-3/may0109-zemke-to-replace-john-hopkins/). Hopkins, who moved to Stiggy at the series’ second round after being dropped by an in-crisis Kawasaki MotoGP squad, dislocated his hip in a high-side in the first session of his second round with the Honda-mounted team. He hopes to be back in action for his home-country WSBK round at Utah’s Miller Motorsports Park in June.

Zemke, who is in AMA Pro Road Racing action this weekend in Alabama for his Erion Honda team, came close to racing the Monza round last year before opting out at the last minute.
