Our colleagues in Paris have decided to postpone the next edition of their event to 2010, thereby saddling EICMA with a new responsibility: that of remaining the only international Motorcycle Show in the world to be held in the course of 2009.

Accordingly, we cannot shy away from our duty to organise an event that can truly represent a great moment of promotion for the sector and can prove that the 2-wheel vehicle industry is vital and can stand up to the global crisis.

We plan to keep you posted on the progress of our preparations for EICMA 2009.

So far we have acquired a net exhibition area of over 45,000 m2 and this figure, which is destined to grow, already ensures for the Milan Show both a significant size and an important qualitative presence: most of the world’s main players have already confirmed their participation (the Italian industry, in particular, will be present in full force).

We are doing our best to ensure the participation of some major foreign companies that have not confirmed yet, since we want the Show to be fully representative of worldwide production.

Fiera Milano and EICMA realise that this is a difficult time and are sparing no effort to make the cost of participation less onerous. In particular, we have intensified the study of standard or even personalised equipments to be available at affordable costs, and are taking action to identify hotel conventions of special interest.

We are at your disposal to provide detailed information: let us know your needs so that we can work out together the best way to fulfil them.

In the meantime, we take this opportunity to send you all our best regards.

Costantino Ruggiero
Managing Director
