Bonsey Signed for Remainder of GP Season
The Milar-Juegos Lucky Racing Team are pleased to announce an agreement that will see American rider Stevie Bonsey contest the remainder of the 250cc World Championship 2009, starting with the Catalunya Grand Prix that takes place this weekend at the Montmeló circuit in Barcelona.
California-born Bonsey competed on a 125cc Aprilia in 2008 with impressive results. His youth and undoubted quality make him one of the bright young hopes of international road racing.
In fact, the legendary Kenny Roberts has referred to him as the most naturally gifted American rider of his generation.
As well as confirming his participation in the remainder of the current 250cc campaign, the team are also in negotiations with Bonsey’s representatives over a potential deal to contest the inaugural season of the Moto2 class, which will replace the 250cc series in 2010.
Along with the signing of Bonsey, the team are also delighted that Aprilia will be stepping up their technical and mechanical support of the team with updated parts for the RSW. Indeed, the fruit of the closer collaboration will already be evident at Montmeló, with the delivery of a new carbon swingarm and new cylinders.
