SPEEDWAY, Ind. – The country’s first automated touch free motorcycle wash has been installed at Dirt Stripper car wash in Speedway, bringing a new way for motorcycle owners to clean their bikes in just a few minutes for just a few dollars.

Called MOTO EXPRESS WASH® the wash bay looks and works similar to a traditional automated car wash. Bikes are driven into the bay, where the rider dismounts, and then the bike is secured by a computerized system that activates blocks at the kick stand and front tire, stabilizing the bike. An arm moves across and over the bike for pre-soak, wash and the spot-free rinse. At the same time, the front and rear wheels are being rotated and cleaned, and then the bike is air-dried. The whole process takes about five minutes.

The installation of MOTO EXPRESS WASH® automated motorcycle wash comes less than a year after Harrell’s Car Wash System® tested a prototype of the automated motorcycle wash at the Dirt Stripper® car wash located at 4980 Crawfordsville Road in Speedway.

“Wash. Dry. Ride.® that’s our motto for MOTO EXPRESS WASH®,” said Mark Harrell, who invented the automated motorcycle wash.

Earlier this spring, Harrell signed a contract with Washworld Inc. of DePere Wisconsin to manufacture and distribute the MOTO EXPRESS WASH® automated motorcycle wash globally. Stock’s Harley-Davidson in Manitowoc, Wisc. is the first motorcycle dealer to install the innovative system.

“The first time I saw the prototype, I knew this was something that would become an immediate hit with motorcycle riders,” said owner Dave Stock, who also is a Washworld Inc. principal. “Based on the feedback we’ve received, we’re confident the MOTO EXPRESS WASH® automated motorcycle wash will be available to motorcycle owners from coast-to-coast.

MOTO EXPRESS WASH® automated motorcycle wash also includes Washworld’s exclusive Washviewand Washview Remote software. The software allows the wash owner to access the wash from anywhere using a PC or laptop with the ability to turn on and off functions, view wash counts and wash events in real time.

The MOTO EXPRESS WASH® automated motorcycle wash also includes the Washworld pump station with direct feed solutions system which provides more control and a resource conservation system that saves utility and chemical costs.
