Salt Lake City, Utah (May 25, 2010) The members and staff of R6Live.com are proud to announce their sponsorship support of AMA Pro rider Melissa Paris this weekend at Miller Motorsports Park. Paris was invited back to contest the Salt Lake City round of the World Supersport Championship, and R6Live seized on the opportunity to show their support. The community was asked to raise the funds necessary for the sponsorship, and they responded with overwhelming enthusiasm, meeting the donation goal in less than 18 hours!
Paris, who will contest the weekend on a Yamaha YZF-R6 built by RM Racing, was pleased with the unique prospect of working with R6Live.
“I am so excited to be working with R6Live,” said Melissa. “Anytime someone steps up to help your race efforts, it’s an amazing feeling. But when a group of individuals gets together and does something like this, it kind of catches you off guard. It’s so cool and inspiring knowing that you have this kind of support behind you!”
“Our site is a community of avid racers and race fans,” said Pete Hitzeman, co-administrator of R6Live.com. “So when we saw the chance to work with Melissa to help make her effort come together at Miller this year, we jumped on it! She is truly one of the great personalities in the sport, and has been fantastic to work with in the past. We’re extremely proud to have her represent us this year, and wish her every success this weekend!”
