Welcome to Road Racerhead’s annual Valentino Rossi edition (#46), which finds me typing on a plane bound from Milan to Atlanta.
By the time this is posted, I’ll be on a plane headed to Europe for a weeklong trip that will be kicked off by catching the season-finale MotoGP race in Valencia, Spain.
This weekend has a tough act to follow to live up to last weekend, as Sunday was an incredible day in road racing.
During this difficult financial stretch, electric motorcycles have been one of the industry’s few bright spots, highlighted by the inaugural TTXGP at the Isle of Man TT. Agni Motors scored the historic win in that race, and we spoke with company CEO Arvind Rabadia.
Remember the Road Racer X subscription contest a couple months back, where AGV gave away a brand-new Face It! helmet, based off the custom lid Valentino Rossi wore at the 2008 Mugello MotoGP? On the other hand, Hayes might just be in action again this weekend, as we discovered when we caught up with him on the phone yesterday, in Oceanside, California.
This week in your sport...

If you have the new issue of Road Racer X, you may have seen our “5 Minutes With” interview of Ducati designer Damien Basset, here are the outtakes from that interview.
