Ben & Eric hook up with Cannondale

In case you haven't noticed, there's a serious trend toward motorcycle road racers doing much of their training on bicycle road racers these days. Last year, Mat Mladin was sponsored by Trek bicycles, and this year, Ben and Eric Bostrom have sponsorship by Cannondale bicycles. In addition, superbikeplanet.com recently reported that Miguel Duhamel (who trains under Lance Armstrong coach Chris Carmichael) has signed Giant bicycles as a personal sponsor this year. Ben and Eric have even created an ad hoc bicycle team known as TYFLO.

The bicycle jersey pictured here was originally dreamed up as a cool way to keep some of Eric's sponsors happy (as you can see, it features the logos of Red Bull, Shoei, Alpinestars, Von Dutch, AirTrix, and Cannondale). However, when Cannondale decided to put a similar version in their catalog, it suddenly began generating a ton of interest. According to Cannondale's Bill Rudell, it won't actually be available for purchase until March 14.

By the way, Cannondale and Eric Bostrom have some cool promotional and charity projects planned for this season. Watch this space for news.
